Bodies without performance. Perfect Body refuses the idealized form—the head is present but abstracted, denying the viewer the satisfaction of a face. Schutzzauber stands with bent knees in a Tai Chi stance, arms raised as if casting a protective circle. Joint Venture lies on its back, legs angled, completely relaxed—a body at peace with itself. These paintings examine how we might feel when the pose drops.
