This website is hosted by webgo GmbH (Wandsbeker Zollstraße 95, 22041 Hamburg, Germany). The hosting provider collects the following data in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Requested page

This data is collected to ensure trouble-free operation of the website and is automatically deleted after 7 days at the latest. This data is not merged with other data sources.

5. Embedded Content (YouTube Videos)

Some pages contain embedded YouTube videos. These are not loaded automatically. Instead, you first see a preview image.

Only when you actively click on “Play video” is a connection established to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The following data is then transmitted to YouTube:

  • Your IP address
  • The URL of the page where you watch the video
  • Information about your browser

YouTube may set cookies and analyze your usage behavior.

We use YouTube’s enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which reduces the storage of cookies as long as you do not click “Play.”

If you contact me by email, your details (name, email address, content of the message) will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry.

This data will not be shared without your consent and will be deleted after your inquiry has been processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Newsletter

You can subscribe to my newsletter on this website. Registration uses a
double opt-in process: after entering your data, you will receive an email
with a confirmation link. You will only be added to the mailing list after
clicking this link.

Data collected:

  • Email address (required)
  • First name (optional)

Purpose: Sending information about exhibitions, new artworks, and artistic
activities.

The newsletter is sent via my art magazine krautart.de, which I also run. The technical processing is handled locally there using the WordPress plugin “Newsletter”. The data is stored on the server of my hosting provider, webgo GmbH, in Germany (see section “Hosting”).

Storage duration: Your data is stored until you unsubscribe from the
newsletter.

Unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. An unsubscribe
link is included in every newsletter email. Alternatively, you can send an
email to connect@corneliaessaid.de.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about your data stored by me.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request the correction of inaccurate data.
